You will also find these essential keys of benefit to avoid water weight gains as well.

Successful Weight Loss in Women

Still struggling with trying to control or generate some successful weight loss? Whatever your diet or women’s weight loss program might be, try applying these five essential keys to successful weight loss in women.

1. Eat Your Meals More Slowly

If you have an eye towards shaping up, toning down and generating fat loss to improve your looks and health, then consider this. You will derive more benefit nutritionally from what you eat, when you chew your food more thoroughly and eat more slowly. Why? It’s because your body more easily extract nutrients from finely chewed foods. It’s also true of foods that spend more time in the digestive tract where their value is extracted. “Wolfing down” your food serves no constructive purpose other than to make you prone to indigestion, upset stomach, and ulcers.

2. Avoid Excess Salt

In speaking of salt, the Holy Bible says, “Will tasteless things be eaten without salt,…?” (Job 6:6) Salt has many uses and is a seasoning that has been used for centuries. Used in excess however, and it quickly can turn against you. In moderation, it embellishes flavor and taste and enhances a multitude of foods. But use too much and tastes are strong, pungent, acrid and bitter. Too salty is a cooking error that can be difficult to correct. Salt also promotes water imbalances in the body, causing water weight gains in some, Diarrhea in others. An excess of salt in foods is the bane of weight loss in women. Avoid it.

3. Avoid High Saturated Fat, Processed Flour and Sugar-based Foods

From ancient China comes the saying, “Eat noodles for long life”, but it’s best to do so in moderation. Deep-fried foods, processed flour pastries and breads, and all manner of sugary or sugar-based foods and drinks are truly best avoided as much s possible for successful weight loss in women.

4. Increase Your Physical Activity

Move your body, exercise, enroll in a gym and go regularly for physical, aerobic workouts. You might consider practicing a physical sport like tennis or golf, bike riding, roller skating or ice skating, jogging on a path, trail or treadmill. How about taking ballroom dance, Tango or Salsa dancing classes? Just find a physical activity you enjoy, practice it regularly and experience successful weight loss as you do. Come up with some way to regularly move your body and exercise for continued weight loss, in women especially.

5. Watch Out for Holidays and Festivals

Holiday celebrations and seasonal festivals can represent some of the best – and worst – times of our lives. One reason why is that this is often a time for cooking special foods and preparing all manner of “sumptuous drinks” all loaded to the rim with things you just know you really shouldn’t have. Okay, so we’re all human. Enjoy your holidays. Remember to do so though, in moderation. Don’t fall, or jump, completely off the wagon. Recovering from an extensive holiday binge can take weeks if you’re not as careful as you should be. Be careful of and exercise some control over what you eat and drink during the holidays to maintain the woman’s weight loss you’ve achieved.

Water and Weight Loss: Keys to Better Health

Water and Weight Loss in the Human Body

The human body is said to be composed of about two thirds water. For example, if you weigh 150 pounds (68 kg), around 100 pounds (45 kg) of your weight is water. Some of this water and weight loss is from the body in a number of the following ways:

• Heat and humidity
• Sweating due to heavy work, exercise or illness
• Breathing, especially at high altitudes
• Urination
• Defecation
• Tears
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea
• Expectoration of saliva and mucus
• Nasal discharge
• Bleeding

Water Weight Fluctuations

Within normal parameters, weight gains or losses of from five to twenty pounds (2 to 8 kg) are not considered to be unusual or great cause of concern. But when weight loss is severe, however, exceeding more than twenty pounds (8 kg), alternatives to the condition may be required. Excessive water weight loss is a very serious affair. Therefore, before under-going any water and weight loss program it is essential for you to consult the services of a qualified physician or health professional.

Water and Weight Loss

While water and weight loss can be inter-related, care must be taken to avoid dehydration, or excessive loss of body fluids, either intentionally or unintentionally. A program of high water consumption for weight loss and regulation of some health problems consists of first drinking up to a full liter of water before each meal starting before breakfast. In addition to this you are often asked to consume another liter of water between breakfast and lunch. Another liter is consumed between lunch and dinner. And yet more liters of water are swallowed down after dinner and before going to bed. Yes at first, you’ll need to urinate much more frequently than before, but your system will soon adjust and the trips to the loo come less often.

Water for Health Benefits

The water will of course start flushing everything soluble from your system. Soluble fats, wastes, impurities, partially-dissolved solids and other “dischargeables” will quickly be rinsed from your intestines and other organs in relatively short order. So too will essential oils, vitamins and minerals like calcium. This is why you need to be careful to replace those as they are lost by means of daily supplements. Note also that a number of body organs and systems thrive on large quantities of water.

• Digestive tract, liver, gall bladder and stomach
• Brain and nervous system
• Kidneys and urinary tract
• Eyes, tear ducts, nose and throat
• Sweat glands and the body’s cooling system
• Joints and muscles

Water Detoxification for Water and Weight Loss

Drinking large amounts of water not only will help detoxify and flush your body’s systems, but will aid in regulating your weight once the body reaches equilibrium. As a minimum, you will need to drink ten glasses of water a day at least. This doesn't replace your normal drinks, so you can keep on drinking fruit and vegetable juices, coffee, tea, and whatever other beverages you want to, just keep them of the healthy variety please for continued water and weight loss.

Three Tips For Weekly Weight Loss

weekly weight loss schemes

There are hundreds of diets, plans and weekly weight loss schemes to choose from. The majority of them simply do not work or work only in the short term. You can improve your health and your life with a minimal number of safe, healthy changes in your eating habits and life style. Did you know that by eating up to six smaller meals per day with limited portion sizes, you can not only lose weight on a regular basis, but that you will never be hungry either? One of the latest, simplest weekly weight loss plans is called “Calorie Shifting”. It’s healthy, low stress and will not damage organs or your body’s systems in any way – and it works. The principles of calorie shifting are relatively straight forward. Here are three simple but often effective plans exist which will allow for steady, continual weekly weight loss.

Programs for Weekly Weight Loss

Here are three simple but often effective plans exist which will allow for steady, continual weekly weight loss. Care is recommended in adapting these types of weekly weight loss programs and the advice of your physician or health professional should be consulted before embarking on any program.

Three for Starters:

1. The Three Hour Diet Plan

Did you know that by eating up to six smaller meals per day with limited portion sizes, you can not only lose weight on a regular basis, but that you will never be hungry either? Yes, that’s correct. You can lose weight if you eat more. By consuming smaller meals more frequently, your body boosts its metabolic rate to high, and keeps it there naturally, virtually all day long. You burn calories like a race horse will you continually eat all day. The result is weekly weight loss over an extended period of time. Try small meals or healthy snacks at 6:00 or 7:00 am, 9:00 or 10:00 am, noon or 1:00 pm, 3:00 or 4:00 pm, 6:00 or 7:00 pm and finally at 9:00 or 10: 00 pm; and just watch as the weekly weight loss pounds practically fall off of you.

2. Consume Natural Products, Fruit and Vegetable Juices

There are hundreds of diets, plans and weekly weight loss schemes to choose from. The majority of them simply do not work or work only in the short term. What does consistently work for weekly weight loss however, is a lifestyle change involving better choices about what you eat. Diets and weight loss plans which allow consumption of a variety of natural, unprocessed foods like fruits, vegetables, juices, coconut, virgin olive oil, ground flaxseed and plenty of water will almost always have a beneficial effect for weight loss. Minimize consumption of salt, processed flour and refined sugars for added benefits. Don’t forget that regular aerobic exercise is important for weekly weight loss too.

3. The Calorie Shifting Weekly Weight Loss Plan
One of the latest, simplest but most controversial weekly weight loss plans is called “Calorie Shifting”. All other facts aside, it’s healthy and will not damage organs or your body’s systems in any way – and it works. The principles of calorie shifting are relatively straight forward.

• You must drink eight to ten glasses of water daily.
• You need to eat from four to six full meals each day
• Eat at different times and in different amounts each day
• Vary the foods and quantities for each meal, each day

Typically this needs to be done daily for at least two weeks for a weekly weight loss of around five pounds. You’ll start seeing results during the very first week of calorie shifting.

Weekly Weight Loss

Weekly weight loss is not complicated. It need not be stressful, expensive or force you into dire straits in other areas. You can improve your health and your life with a minimal number of safe, healthy changes in your eating habits and life style. Just be determined to make healthy choices about what you consume.

Eco Friendly Cars You Can Truly Enjoy

Are Eco Friendly Cars Truly a Possibility?

When you hear reports on the radio news or television from such cities as Mexico City, Cairo, Egypt, Moscow, Russia among others, that give announcements that, “today air pollution index levels are high, so elderly persons and children should not go out” or “asthmatics going outside today must carry portable oxygen cylinders with them” or perhaps that “athletes or others practicing outdoor sports should not do so today”, you should have pause to wonder about what’s happening with gasoline or diesel-powered automobile and truck emissions controls. Are eco friendly cars truly a possibility?

A Solution to the Problem Has Been Found

In 1996 a solution to the problem was found when General Motors Corporation produced the EV1 (Electric Vehicle 1) an eco friendly car, which began circulating on the streets of California. Attractive, sleek and “futuristic looking”, the EV1 met with immediate succes and approval with the limited number of consumers who were allowed to rent them on a trial basis. The eco friendly car EV1 could almost silently go from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in less than nine seconds – pretty snappy for a pollution-free electric car, right? That’s pretty good for ANY type of car. The car could also be recharged from a special outlet installed in your garage. They didn’t even have an exhaust tail pipe. So why haven’t you heard of them? Likely because within ten years, GM collected all the EV1s in circulation as their leasing agreements ended. Finally, do you know what happened to these zero-pollution vehicles? The eco friendly cars were all collected and ultimately destroyed.

The Japanese Get Into the Act

In 1997, Nissan unveiled a hyper-mini electric eco friendly car in Tokyo show rooms. The car was leased by the city of Pasadena, California for municipal employees. The eco friendly car was easy to park, maintain and get around crowded city streets in. In August of 2006 however, when the lease for the cars between Nissan and the city of Pasadena expired, Nissan refused to sell the cars to the city. Again, in this case, these zero-pollution, eco friendly cars were all collected and ultimately destroyed.

In 2003 Toyota halted production of its eco friendly car, the RAV4 – EV (the EV denotes Electric Vehicle). By 2005 all the lease agreements for this vehicle were expired and these cars were returned to the manufacturer. In this case though, after a three-month international court battle against Toyota, consumers who had leased RAV4-Evs were allowed to purchase them from the company.

The Terminator Drives a Hummer

Reportedly, California governor Arnold “The Terminator” Schwarzenegger drives a specially – produced Hummer, an eco friendly car that runs on hydrogen. BMW also has a hydrogen – fueled, environmentally friendly, commercially available vehicle. So now we know that eco friendly cars truly are a real possibility for reducing pollution coming from gasoline and diesel-powered automobile and truck emissions. We can only hope that petroleum-based conglomerates do not fully succeed in halting the development and distribution of eco friendly cars to environmentally-concerned consumers.

How to Have an Eco Friendly Home

Eco Friendly Homes

Around the globe more and more people are working to have an eco friendly home. Natuaral resources are dwindling in an alarmingly large number of countries. Water supplies are drying up or becoming too polluted. Water sources are tainted with industrial waste making attention to our living conditions more important than ever. One of the best ways to protect and conserve our natural resources is by having an eco friendly home.

What You Can Do

Where ever you call home, there are a number of things you can do to make where you now live a more eco friendly home . Start with recycling of water used in your home. Some ideas include recycling water from showers and clothes washing to flush toilets and water lawns. Collect rain water as a source of water used in your home. Rainwater, when filtered and boiled, can be used for cooking and drinking in many areas which are not heavily polluted by industry. Other suggestions for a more eco friendly home are to recycle all waste or garbage that you produce. Seperate your trash into organic, glass, metal, paper and plastic. Then each type of trash can be disposed of in approppriate ways to minimize pollution.

Recycle Your Waste

In an eco friendly home after seperating your trash, it could be recycled or diposed of in a number of environmentally friendly ways. Organic waste could be recyled as compost for lawns and gardens. Lawn and garden waste like leaves, clippings and trimmings can be composted and used as fertilizer in most areas. Glass should be disposed of in a manner consistant with the laws and regulations of your city, state or region. There are a number of ways recycled glass can be safely reused in industry.

Paper is often the easiest form of waste to recycle in an eco friendly home as quite a number of municipalities and communities collect and dispose of papaer and paper products according to local regulations. Old or unwanted newspapers, magazines, wrappings and containers should be bundled together and disposed of properly. Metal is also easily recycled. In many cities and towns there may even be programs to collect and recycle metal discards which can actually provide a small income to recyclers. Metals can be re-smelted and integrated into new products by industry, easily and in a highly cost-effective manner.

Plastic is by far the difficult waste product item to properly dispose of. Since it often takes years, decades or even cenuries to decompose in landfills or in the environment, it can be a detrimintal source of pollution for many life times. Wildlife of many types are also endangered by plastics which are improperly disposed of. Proper disposal of plastic waste can go a long way in helping you to have a more eco friendly home.

Use of solar energy as a resource for a more eco friendly home is also becoming increasingly available. It is clean, efficient and freely available. Solar energy can be applied to heat our homes or to heat water for washing, bathing and showers. Many of the best ways to protect and conserve our natural resources depend on you to do your part. Having an eco friendly home is an excellent start.

Is Living in an Eco Friendly House for You?

Is an eco friendly house for you?

An eco friendly house might contain any number of environmentally safe features. Some of these include garbage recycling and solar energy collection systems. Other features may consist of computer-controlled appliances and household elemnts or organic gardens and greenery. There might even be an eco friendly vehicle in the garage. Many elements go into the planning of such a house to ensure its viability and pollution free integration into the environment. Is living in an eco friendly house for you?

What is an Eco Friendly House?

Everyone lives somewhere. It might be a single family home, an apartment, a luxury condo or a town house. Most homes built more than twenty five to fifty years ago however, are not typically eco friendly houses. But when we refer to eco friendly, just what is implied? These are some examples of features that might usually be found in an eco friendly house.

1. A Solar Energy Generation Sysytem

An advanced model eco friendly house or other building might contain an IHT, which stands for Interseasonal Heat Transfer, takes heat from the sunshine that falls on blacktopped outdoor areas, then stores it and releases it in the winter to heat the house. The London-based company Icax (Interseasonal Collection and Exchange) invented and developed IHT. The way it works is that the blacktopped areas heat up when the sun shines on them, the heat in the water is pumped away and stored in computer-controlled thermal banks in the ground under the building. These banks are so well insulated that heat only moves through them very slowly. This stored heat is then released back into the building when it is needed, perhaps months later.

2. An Organic Garden, Lawn and Greenery

On the grounds of an eco friendly house you might find vegetables, fruits and greenery free from the potentially harmful effects of herbacides, preservatives and pesticides tend to promote better health in consumers and protect the environment. Avoidance of flurocarbon-based aerosols will reduce growing damage to the ozone layer and subsequent harmful effects of ultraviolet radiation from the sun. A rainwater collection and storage system will likely prove to be valuable as well. Facilities for seperation and recycling of trash and garbage components will aid tremendously in maintaining a reduced pollution causing environment.

3. An Eco Friendly Vehicle in the Garage

Another find you’d expect in an eco friendly house is an eco friendly vehicle in the garage. This might be one of the production model EVs (Electric Vehicles) built by Nissan, Toyota, BMW or General Motors. Hydrogen-fueled vehicles are also available. These types of vehicles do not cause air pollution nor contribute to the creation of acid rain.

4. Organically Grown Foods in the Kitchen

Not only would you consume only organically grown foods, fruits and vegetables but you’d likely also have only fresh, filtered organically pure water as well. These are free of chemicals, additives and all manner of pesticides. This would include desalinated water or purely distilled water which has the dubious quality of leaching more and more calcium from your teeth and bones as time goes by. Pestacide-free fruits and vegetables which will keep pollution of the environment to an absolute minimum.

5. Computer-Controlled Appliances and Household Accessories Throughout

For maximum control of energy throughout an eco friendly house, efficient energy consumption could be controlled through the use of computer-integrated appliances and household systems. Lights, heating or cooling, refridgeration, air flow ventilation and water could all be managed more efficiently.

Many elements go into the planning of such a house to ensure its viability and pollution free integration into the environment. Is living in an eco friendly house for you?

Developing Eco Friendly Energy for Your Home Needs

Eco Friendly Energy Sources

With pollution of the air, water and growing areas reaching alarming proportions, people world wide are becoming increasingly aware of the need for eco friendly energy sources. There are a multitude of advantages to adapting natural energy resources into our homes and daily lives. Such sources as solar power, wind-generated energy and water-generated power are quite often exceedingly cheap, even free much of the time, abundant in virtually all the world’s regions and readily available on a daily basis. None of these natural resources produces any pollution as a by-product, either.

Needs of the Home

In your home, natural eco friendly energy sources can be adapted to provide power, not only for your home needs, but even an excess can be sold to municipal or regional power companies to generate a small but steady income to private homeowners in some cases. Solar energy can be produced from sunlight even in largely overcast regions on cloudy days. Water can be heated using solar power for bathing and warming of rooms of the house. Where sufficient open area is available, wind power can generate more than enough eco friendly energy for all your homes needs. When more power is generated during windy periods of the day, it can easily be stored in batteries or capacitors for use during other periods of the day or at night in the case of solar power generation.

Income From Eco Friendly Energy Production

In you live in an open rural residential area, have open private acreage or live on a farm, adapting eco friendly energy for your needs need not be difficult nor especially costly. With focused energy production applications you can even generate income. Many municipalities or regional power companies are required by law in the USA, to buy back all the excess energy your home may produce. Hotels and resort areas could also profit from prudent eco friendly energy production. The same is true for commercial shopping centers, complexes of office buildings and residential apartments and town houses. These typically have very large, unused roof surface areas which could harbor banks of solar power-generating cells and extensive rain water collection systems.

Practical and Efficient Rain Water Use

Water for fountains, green areas sprinkler systems, saunas, steam rooms and swimming pools could be collected and maintained from rain water alone with prudent planning and organization. The cost savings alone would over-ride building and construction costs. These systems frequently pay for themselves in a matter of months, then continue to generate capital for years, even decades afterwards. Practical and efficient rain water use would easily result from this eco friendly energy resource.

Lessons to Be Learned

Distressingly, communities world wide are starting to experience problems with having sufficient water for consumption by people and livestock. This condition has often existed for generations in local areas on islands without fresh water rivers or that are located in arid regions of the planet. We could well take some important lessons from these communiteis which, in order to survive, have learned to adapt natural water resources such as rain water or high humidity condensation techniques to supply essential water and eco friendly energy needs.
